Something happened tonight that really made me think.
I’m not talking about a great message that I heard, or video I saw.
But a simple message from a friend. A catastrophic message.
His mom had died.
Gone.
In the blink of an eye, she just wasn’t there any more.

I wonder what he is going through right now.
What kind of painful emotions he must be experiencing.
Or maybe total numbness. Like everything in his world isn’t there anymore.
I don’t know if I would even be able to feel if something like that happened to me.

Now, I have a request from you, dear reader.
Please keep this kid in your prayers.
He needs them more than ever.
Thank you.

As my thoughts wander, I begin thinking about my own life.
How will I be remembered when I pass away.
MY life, this short time that I have lived on the earth, will I look back with no regret?
When my time has come will I be able to say, “I lived a good life”?
How many hours have I wasted on things that don’t matter?
What I could have done.

I wonder what it would be like if I lived each moment to the fullest.
Kris Allen got it right when he said “We gotta live like we’re dying.”

Now I’m thinking about all these people who die without God.
How many times have I been selfish,
not sharing the Gospel with people who need it
because it makes me feel “uncomfortable”?
Ok, strangers is one thing, but what about MY friends?
How many of my non-believing friends have I told about God?
How many times have I been afraid?
How many people are going to Hell because I didn’t listen to God share the Gospel?

I can’t be selfish any more.
If I am not living for Christ, what is the point?
I need to start being bold.
If I really do love my friends, family, and random strangers
how can I NOT share with them
the most important thing that I have ever learned.

Jesus loves you. He desires you with a fiery passion.
You can’t quench it with all of the waters of this earth.
You can’t find the end of it, even if you went to the ends of the universe.
His love for you is never ending.
He has a great and wonderful plan for your life.
All you need to do, is ask Him to come into your life.

That’s right guys, our band actually opened for Keith Urban and Kris Allen 2 days ago at the Indianapolis State Fair! It was quite possibly one of the coolest experiences ever. We even got to have dinner with Kris Allen (whaaaat?!).

We would like to thank everybody who came to see us at that concert, as well as the people who talked with us afterwards. You guys made our time there that much more incredible!

Well, I’m sure you don’t want many more details than that… =P

It’s hard to believe our month in California has come to an end. We can’t even begin to tell you what an adventure it was, having spent hours driving from concerts to studio sessions, meeting lots of new people, and facing various disappointing moments as well as some unbelievable opportunities. All in all, it was a faith-stretching time that kept us clinging to the fact that God is in control no matter what the circumstances. We have never headed into a trip that was as unscheduled as this one. There were only 4 dates on the calendar when we left, and yet, there was never a dull moment!

Thank you so much for praying! No one got sick, we had very few technical issues, God provided transportation and housing, and we made it home safely (apart from a few damaged suitcases)! Hey guys!

First off, let me just say that this California weather is amazing!  Seriously, if I could kidnap your weather, I totally would.

Last week, we played at FishFest, which was a really great experience.  There were a lot of talented bands there, such as Thousand Foot Crutch and Toby Mac… And 3union of course. =P

Thank you everybody who came to see us!  You made our concert so much fun.  We definitely had a great time partying with you, and talking afterwards.

On Tuesday, we had our first ever experience playing at a radio station!  Totally fun right?  The station, Radio Lollipop, is at Children’s Hospital Orange County (CHOC).  Not only was it our first time in a radio station, it was also our first time playing at a hospital.   It definitely opened up our eyes to how blessed we are with good health.  What blew our minds, however, was how cheerful and thankful a lot of the kids at the hospital were, even though they had terminal diseases.  They definitely helped us see that we should be more thankful for what we have, and what we are given.

If you will allow me to leave you with a quote from one of my favorite movies, Kung Fu Panda, “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present.”
